Bernie Leger graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Music Honours and a Bachelor of Education (Artist in the Community Certificate) in the early 90’s. Upon graduation, he has taught high school instrumental music, vocal music and dramatic arts in three provinces. He has been teaching at St. Peter Catholic High School for the past 15 years, where he is currently the teacher facilitator for the Specialist High Skills Major program in Musical Theatre Performance. He has directed many musicals during his time at St. Peter and is very proud of the success of the alumni from this program. Bernie received a National Capital Region teaching award in 2013, acknowledging his work in arts education. Bernie has performed in professional musical theatre, has participated in many theatre and development projects both in Canada and abroad and works as a musician within the Orleans community.
