Charles Douglas

Charles is an actor, singer, dancer, and fight director from Orléans.

After graduating with honours from Sheridan College’s Music Theatre Performance program, Charles went on to study the Michael Chekhov technique of acting at the Chekhov International Theatre School in Melikhovo, Russia, and with Michael Chekhov Europe in Istanbul, Turkey. He also studied stage combat at Rapier Wit, in Toronto, and received full distinction on his Advanced Exams for Fight Directors Canada.

As an actor, credits include: Fred in A Christmas Carol and Roy in Anne & Gilbert: The Musical (National Arts Centre- English Theatre); Ferdinand in The Tempest, Turn of the Screw (Two Planks); Beauty and the Beast, Shrek the Musical, The Addams Family, Into the Woods, Mary Poppins (Neptune Theatre); Taming of the Shrew, Merchant of Venice (Shakespeare by the Sea); Evangeline and Anne of Green Gables (Charlottetown Festival).
Fight Direction credits include: Beauty and the Beast (Neptune); Unconscious at the Sistine Chapel (2b Theatre); Romeo and Juliet (Watermark); Macbeth (Off the Leash).
