Matt Miwa

Matt Miwa is an Ottawa based artist working in numerous fields, including performance art, video and of course theatre. His current theatre project is taking him all around the country researching the history of the Japanese Canadian internment experience during WWII. A presentation of this play in Ottawa should be taking place in 2013! Matt’s other major project is a short film entitled “Murder at the Circus,” a modern take on the old silent horror genre. A lover of theatre in all sizes, shapes venues, and occasions, the 2012-2013 session marks Matt’s 5th year teaching at OYPTS. Past OYP shows include Alice in Wonderland, An Evening with Stellaluna and Goldilocks and the Haunted House. Matt looks forward to an inventive and fun-filled year with OYPTS!
