Megan Piercey Monafu

Megan Piercey Monafu is a young artist fresh from the BFA Theatre and Development program at Concordia University, which she completed after beginning in the BFA Theatre (Acting) program at Memorial University of Newfoundland. With a passion for the arts in personal and community development, Megan has facilitated drama workshops and classes with Third Story Window Theatre Company, Geordie Theatre School, Centre Évasion Seniors Day Center (Montreal), the Learning Through the Arts program (Newfoundland), and the IWK Children’s Hospital (Halifax). New to Ottawa, her local projects include assistant directing for a Company of Fools’ “Antony and Cleopatra” and for 9th Hour’s “Children’s Letters to God”, as well as training with Sanitas Playback Theatre as a company member. She is excited to join OYPTS this year, and can’t wait to act, sing, and dance with her students!
