Rachel Armitage
Rachel Armitage was bitten by the theater bug as a child, acting and stage managing in community and musical theaters around her home town. Her love for the stage translated into a BFA, Specialization in Drama in Education from Concordia University(2001) and a Bachelor’s of Education degree from Ottawa University (Theater and English) (2003). Rachel’s studies have prepared her to work with others, developing the skills needed to be an actor, but her passion lies in the use of theatre as a personal development tool and life enriching experience.
Since landing in Ottawa, Rachel began teaching English and Drama grades 7 to 10, has been actively involved (teaching, directing, writing, stage managing) in many community theaters in the Ottawa area, found a home and a family at OYP, got married and had two lovely girls. Cant wait to see was happens next.
